On a trip through Alaska we passed through Haines and decided to have "bar food" at the harbor bar. The bar shares the kitchen with the adjacent lighthouse restaurant. Quite simply, they knocked it out of the park. For lunch I had the New England style chowder. The best I've ever had! For dinner? The best fish (halibut) and chips I've ever had. The service was fast and friendly. Not sure if I'll ever be back to Haines but I could not be more impressed. I spent a lot of money here and at the Oceanside RV Park.What a wonderful Experiance.
